Twin In-Line MIDI Fuse Holder with Cover (MIDI Fuse) provides a covered mounting point for two MIDI fuses in vehicle electrical systems where separate fused outputs are required from a compact inline assembly. It is used in accessory power feeds on traffic control vehicles, civil fleet vehicles, utility service bodies and contractor fitouts where multiple auxiliary circuits need serviceable fuse protection.

The fuse holder is installed inline on the positive supply side of the protected circuits, commonly near the battery, auxiliary battery, distribution point or tray-mounted electrical panel. It mounts through the integrated base tabs, with cable connections made at the 5mm bolt terminals and the hinged cover closing over the fuse and terminal area once the circuits are connected.

During operation, current passes through the copper connecting plates and fitted MIDI fuses to the downstream circuits. If a fault or overload occurs on one branch, the installed fuse opens that circuit until the fault is corrected and the fuse is replaced, while the separate fused branch may continue operating if it is not affected.

The housing is manufactured from black plastic nylon for vehicle electrical environments exposed to vibration, heat and regular service work. It uses 100% copper connecting plates for electrical transfer, with coloured zinc plated screws and washers at the connection points to support secure cable termination inside the covered fuse assembly.

The holder accepts MIDI fuses for DC vehicle electrical systems, with the installed fuse rating selected to match the cable size, terminals and connected load. It is used as part of a matched electrical layout where each fuse protects its downstream circuit rather than being selected from a fixed minimum rating range.

In real vehicle setups, this fuse holder is commonly fitted in traffic control utes, civil fleet vehicles, service bodies and contractor vehicles supplying circuits such as arrow boards, beacons, work lights, compressors, inverter feeds and auxiliary distribution points where neat twin-circuit fuse protection is required.
