MIDI Fuse (23A) controls current in a protected vehicle circuit and is used as a bolt-on fuse link within fused power distribution assemblies. It is used in accessory protection layouts on traffic control vehicles, civil fleet, utility vehicles and service bodies where a fixed current fuse is required in a compact bolted connection format.

Installed inside a MIDI fuse holder or fuse block, the fuse is secured between the holder terminals using its bolt-on connection points with 30mm centre to centre mounting. It is fitted into the protected supply path between the power source and the downstream circuit, making it suitable for battery feeds, accessory distribution points and other fused DC connections.

During normal operation, the fuse carries current through the 23A rated path. If current rises above the fuse capacity, the fuse element opens and interrupts the circuit. Once the fault is located and corrected, the blown fuse is removed and a new matching fuse is installed to return the circuit to service.

The fuse uses copper tin plated construction for electrical conductivity and connection stability within vehicle electrical systems. A fuse element window allows the fuse condition to be checked during servicing, making it easier to identify an opened fuse in enclosed distribution points or mounted fuse blocks.

This fuse is used in 12V and 24V systems up to 32V DC and suits MIDI fuse holders and power distribution assemblies designed for bolt-on MIDI fuses. It is used in accessory circuits, control feeds and auxiliary equipment wiring where a 23A fuse value is required within the electrical layout.

In real vehicle setups, it is commonly used in traffic control utes, civil fleet, utility service bodies and contractor vehicles protecting circuits for warning equipment, control systems, work lights and other auxiliary loads where compact bolt-on fuse protection is required in day-to-day field operation.
