FSS100 – 100 Second Fire Suppression System
Quick Description
The FSS100 Firestick is a lightweight, non-pressurised fire suppression tool providing up to 100 seconds of continuous discharge. Designed for early-stage fires across Class A, B, C, E and F risks, with no servicing required and no residue after use.FSS100 – 100 Second Fire Suppression System (Firestick)
The FSS100 Firestick is a new-generation, non-pressurised fire suppression device designed to help control small, developing fires before they escalate. Compact, lightweight and simple to operate, it provides up to 100 seconds of continuous fire suppression, significantly longer than conventional handheld fire extinguishers.
At just 365 g, the FSS100 is easy to store in vehicles, plant, workshops, kitchens, offices, marine environments and residential settings where traditional extinguishers are bulky, heavy, or impractical. The unit is maintenance-free, with no pressure vessel, no servicing schedule, and no refilling requirements.
The FSS100 discharges a potassium-based aerosol that interrupts the fire’s chemical chain reaction, extinguishing flames without depleting oxygen and without leaving residue. This makes it particularly suitable for use around sensitive equipment and enclosed spaces.
How It Works
The FSS100 operates by releasing a potassium nitrate aerosol that disrupts the flame’s chain reaction:
- Potassium radicals bind to the flame’s reactive elements (O, H and OH)
- This interrupts combustion without removing surrounding oxygen
- The fire is extinguished through chemical saturation, reducing re-ignition risk
This method allows controlled, sustained application rather than a short, high-pressure discharge typical of conventional extinguishers.
Applications
- Cars, 4WDs, trucks, heavy transport
- Boats and marine environments
- Homes and kitchens
- Offices and commercial buildings
- Workshops, plant rooms and mobile equipment
- Caravans, campers and RVs
Designed as a first-response fire suppression tool to help contain a fire while evacuation or further action is taken.
Testing, Certification & Compliance
- Tested to AS/NZS 1850:2009 for Class 2B-1C-1F fires
- Verified for Class A, B, C, E & F use in Australia and New Zealand
- Independently verified by BSI Group, Certificate VC727986
- Manufactured under an ISO 9001 certified quality management system
Important Note
The FSS100 is designed to control and suppress small fires at an early stage. It does not replace site-specific fire safety requirements or mandatory extinguishers where required by regulation.
(FSS100)
The FSS100 Firestick has an 8-year shelf life from date of manufacture and is designed to be maintenance-free, requiring no servicing, refilling or pressure testing during this period.
The manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal storage and intended use.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification, improper activation, exposure to fire beyond intended use, or normal wear resulting from deployment. Units that have been activated or discharged are not eligible for return.
All warranty claims must be supported by proof of purchase.
