FSS100 Firestick | Fire Suppression Device | 100 Seconds
Quick Description
FSS100 Firestick Fire Suppression Device is a compact, non-pressurised first-response tool with approx. 100 seconds of discharge for small, developing fires in vehicles, worksites and safety kits.FSS100 Firestick Fire Suppression Device is a compact, non-pressurised first-response fire suppression tool used to control small, developing fires before they escalate. It provides up to 100 seconds of continuous fire suppression in a lightweight unit that is simple to operate and easy to deploy where early-stage fire control is required.
The Firestick is typically stored within easy reach in vehicles, plant equipment, workshops, marine environments and buildings so it can be accessed quickly when needed. Its compact 365 g design allows it to be carried or mounted in locations where traditional extinguishers are bulky or impractical.
During operation, the unit releases a potassium-based aerosol that interrupts the fire’s chemical chain reaction. This suppresses combustion without depleting surrounding oxygen and without leaving residue, making it suitable for use around equipment, enclosed spaces and sensitive environments.
The FSS100 uses a controlled, sustained discharge rather than a short high-pressure burst, allowing the operator to apply suppression over time while maintaining a safe distance from the fire. The unit is maintenance-free, with no pressure vessel, no servicing schedule and no refilling requirements, supported by an 8-year shelf life.
The product has been tested and independently verified for use across multiple fire classes in Australia and New Zealand, supporting its use as a first-response tool for small, developing fires in suitable environments.
In real-world use, the FSS100 is carried as a first-response fire suppression tool to assist with early-stage fire control while evacuation or further action is taken. It must not be treated as a complete fire protection system and does not replace required fire extinguishers or site-specific fire safety requirements where these are mandated. Commonly added to traffic control vehicle fitouts and site safety kits.
(FSS100)
The FSS100 Firestick has an 8-year shelf life from date of manufacture and is designed to be maintenance-free, with no servicing, refilling or pressure testing required during this period.
The manufacturer provides a 3-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal storage and intended use.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification, improper activation, exposure to fire beyond intended use, or normal wear resulting from deployment. Units that have been activated or discharged are not eligible for return.
