Detour TM5-7A (600x600mm) corflute sign panel displays a DETOUR message on a yellow retroreflective background. It is used in temporary traffic management setups where road users need to be directed along a temporary diversion route because the normal road, travel path, access route or turning movement is unavailable or temporarily changed.

The signface layout, legend and colours follow the applicable AS 1743:2023 signface design for the TM5-7A code. This TM Series detour / route guidance panel is supplied as a modular corflute panel for use with compatible temporary roadwork sign frame systems.

VicRoads Sign Code TM5-V101, Drawing No. 541478 is supplied as a state / legacy identification reference only. It must not be treated as a national code, road authority approval claim, mandatory use requirement or confirmation of site suitability.

Where specified, the TM5-7A Detour panel should be used in conjunction with a suitable TM5-6A detour marker / arrow panel to help guide road users along the intended detour route. The required panel pairing and arrangement should match the applicable TMP, TGS, detour layout, site arrangement and relevant authority requirements.

UAGS temporary traffic sign corflute panels are manufactured from 6mm UV stabilised corflute using Class 400T retroreflective yellow sheeting with opaque black printing. The black uppercase legend, black border and yellow retroreflective background support clear detour route messaging where this panel is specified.

This 600x600mm corflute sign panel is compatible with suitable temporary roadwork sign frame systems that accept 600x600mm corflute panels. It may also be used in compatible Multi-Message Sign Frame No. 1 arrangements where the frame configuration accepts 600x600mm corflute panels and the overall detour sign arrangement is suitable.

In practical use, this panel may be used during road closures, resurfacing works, bridge works, utility maintenance, civil works, event traffic management, traffic switches, temporary access changes and other temporary route diversions where a detour message is specified as part of the site arrangement.

Where specified for the site arrangement, related panels may include Arrow (SYM) TM5-6A detour marker panels, Detour Ahead, End Detour, Road Closed, Road Closed Ahead, Changed Traffic Conditions, Road Work Ahead, Prepare To Stop, directional arrow panels, On Side Road, Local Traffic Only or suitable supplementary context panels.

This panel provides detour route guidance or site awareness information only. It does not create a lawful detour, road closure, access restriction, traffic diversion, site compliance, TMP validity, TGS validity or approved traffic control arrangement by itself. Selection, placement, panel pairing, visibility, frame arrangement and use remain subject to the applicable TMP, TGS, detour arrangement, site arrangement, project requirements, site conditions and relevant authority requirements.
