Quick Description
Detour Ahead TM1-6A (600x600mm) corflute TM Series detour advance warning sign panel with black DETOUR AHEAD legend on Class 400T retroreflective yellow sheeting.Availability Description
This Product is made to order if out of stock.Detour Ahead TM1-6A (600x600mm) corflute sign panel displays a DETOUR AHEAD message on a yellow retroreflective background. It is used in temporary traffic management setups to give road users advance warning that a detour is ahead because the normal roadway, route path or access route is unavailable, not trafficable or affected by works.
The signface layout, legend and colours follow the applicable AS 1743:2023 signface design for the TM1-6A code. This TM Series detour advance warning panel is supplied as a modular corflute panel for use with compatible temporary roadwork sign frame systems.
In temporary traffic management use, a Detour Ahead sign may be specified to provide advance warning of a detour bypassing a section of normal roadway that is not trafficable or where work is being carried out. The detour may be via other roads, streets or a side track constructed for that purpose, depending on the applicable site arrangement.
UAGS temporary traffic sign corflute panels are manufactured from 6mm UV stabilised corflute using Class 400T retroreflective yellow sheeting with opaque black printing. The black uppercase legend, black border and yellow retroreflective background support clear advance detour warning where this panel is specified.
This 600x600mm corflute sign panel is compatible with suitable temporary roadwork sign frame systems that accept 600x600mm corflute panels. It may also be used in compatible Multi-Message Sign Frame No. 1 arrangements where the frame configuration accepts 600x600mm corflute panels and the overall detour sign arrangement is suitable.
In practical use, this panel may be used ahead of road closures, resurfacing works, bridge closures, bridge works, utility works, civil works, event traffic layouts, emergency road diversions, temporary route changes and other temporary detour arrangements where a Detour Ahead message is specified as part of the site arrangement.
Where specified for the site arrangement, related panels may include Detour TM5-7A, Arrow (SYM) TM5-6A detour marker panels, End Detour, Road Closed, Road Closed Ahead, Changed Traffic Conditions, Road Work Ahead, Prepare To Stop, Reduce Speed, directional arrow panels, On Side Road, Local Traffic Only or suitable supplementary context panels.
This panel provides advance detour warning or site awareness information only. It does not create a lawful detour, road closure, access restriction, traffic diversion, site compliance, TMP validity, TGS validity or approved traffic control arrangement by itself. Selection, placement, panel pairing, visibility, frame arrangement and use remain subject to the applicable TMP, TGS, detour arrangement, site arrangement, project requirements, site conditions and relevant authority requirements.
