The TM2-52A Boom Barrier (SYM) - 600x600mm corflute sign is used to warn drivers that a boom barrier is operating ahead, most commonly at temporary rail interfaces, tram corridor works, depot access points, or controlled entry points where vehicles may need to stop. It helps prevent last-second braking and reduces the risk of vehicles entering a restricted zone when barriers are down.
Commonly used during level crossing works, tram track maintenance, and temporary access control for construction sites, this panel is often displayed in Multi-Message Sign Frame No. 1 alongside signs like Prepare To Stop, Reduce Speed, or a directional detour panel to form a clear approach sequence. The benefit is clear communication early, safer stopping behaviour, and smoother traffic flow through controlled areas.
Made in Australia from 6mm corflute and finished with diamond grade, full-cube prismatic retroreflective sheeting, it delivers strong brightness and legibility in low light and poor weather. The sign features a black boom barrier symbol on a retroreflective yellow background for fast recognition in live traffic environments.
Compliance: Made to AS 1742 and AS 1743. Reflective sheeting meets AS/NZS 1906.1 Class 1W, with options meeting RTA NSW Class 1X and DTMR QLD Class 1X.
