B Class LED Arrow Board | AS 4192 & FAS/5 Traffic Control System

UAGS B Class LED Arrow Board is a vehicle-mounted traffic control device used to provide directional guidance and hazard warning within temporary traffic management setups. It is deployed on traffic control vehicles, civil fleet and contractor vehicles to direct road users safely around work zones, lane closures and roadside operations.

The unit is mounted to the rear of the vehicle and integrates into the vehicle electrical system, typically powered through a dual battery setup and controlled via an in-cab controller. The board operates in multiple display modes including Arrow Left, Arrow Right, Double Arrow and Caution, allowing operators to adjust traffic direction in real time based on site conditions.

The LED system is designed to meet the performance requirements of AS 4192-2006 and has been tested by a NATA-accredited laboratory, with approval to NSW RMS Specification FAS/5. This ensures the board meets the required performance, visibility and operational standards for use in regulated traffic control environments. Automatic dimming via an integrated light sensor supports day and night operation and aligns with traffic management practices referenced in AS 1742 worksite setups.

The board incorporates fail-safe operation and solid-state circuitry to maintain display integrity during faults, along with an IP-rated enclosure suited to vehicle environments exposed to weather, dust and vibration. A 12V DC electric actuator (24V option available) allows the board to be raised and positioned from within the cabin, supporting safe deployment without manual handling.

Compatible with standard traffic control vehicle fit-outs, the system integrates alongside warning beacons, work lights and auxiliary electrical systems as part of a complete roadside safety setup. It is available in single-sided and double-sided configurations to suit different vehicle types and operational requirements.

This arrow board is assembled in Australia using locally manufactured structural components, combined with imported electrical systems and actuator hardware. The result is a robust, locally built unit designed for Australian traffic control conditions, supporting consistent quality, serviceability and long-term fleet deployment.
