R4-1A(40) SPEED LIMIT 40 (600x600mm) corflute sign panel sets a temporary 40km/h speed limit for motorists travelling through roadwork zones, lane closures, utility works and other controlled traffic conditions.

Manufactured from 6mm corflute with a white Class 1W full-cube prismatic retroreflective background, this panel uses black numerals within a red speed restriction circle to define regulatory speed limits in both daytime and night-time traffic control environments. The corflute construction supports repeated handling, transport and temporary site deployment.

The Speed Limit 40 panel is used as part of temporary traffic management layouts prepared with reference to AS 1742 and AS 1743, with reflective sheeting meeting AS/NZS 1906.1 Class 1W, RTA NSW Class 1X and DTMR QLD Class 1X requirements where specified. It is compatible with the Multi-Message Sign Frame No. 1 when installed as part of a multi-message sign arrangement or roadside speed control setup.

In a traffic control sequence, this sign is positioned after advance warning signs such as ROAD WORK AHEAD and before or within the active work area where the reduced speed applies.
